Argegno is located about a third of the way up the western leg of Lake Como. It is is a lively village with a good selection of restaurants, pizzerias, snack bars, wine bars and gelaterie. There are two small, general foodstores and more comprehensive shopping in nearby towns. On Monday mornings there is a small market in the village selling fresh food. There are two hairdressers, a post office and two banks with cash machines. The location of the apartment is excellent - just an easy 10 minute, walk to the village centre where you will also find the embarkation point for the ferries and, a little further along, the lido and the cable car to the mountain-top village of Pigra.
Note that public transport to and from Argegno finishes relatively early. Guests staying for longer periods are advised to consider hiring a car.
